Bursts is part of the Next Level Coder app fleet — one solo developer shipping a new app on a regular cadence. It pairs a focused Pomodoro timer with a standards-only CalDAV task list, so your data lives on a server you choose and stays readable by any other calendar app.

Do I need an account?

No. Bursts has no backend of its own. You point it at any standard CalDAV server — iCloud, Fastmail, Nextcloud, or one you host — and your tasks sync as ordinary VTODO items.

What is a focus burst?

A short, adjustable countdown (Pomodoro-style) you start on a single task. A race-start sound kicks it off, a live countdown follows you to the lock screen and home-screen widget, and a 10…1 finale marks the finish.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Every change is written locally first and queued, then reconciled with your CalDAV server the moment you're back online — so edits never wait on the network.

What does Premium include?

Premium removes ads and unlocks unlimited saved views and lists. Focus bursts and CalDAV sync are free for everyone.
